====== Setting a Purchase Order for Overnight Deletion ======

You can set an unwanted Pending purchase order to be deleted automatically overnight. <note>The purchase order must be in a **Pending** status. :!: Activated purchase orders can not be deleted. Activated purchase orders can, instead, be cancelled, and will remain in the system as part of the money trail. See Canceling Orders for more information.</note>

==== To set your Pending purchase order to be deleted automatically overnight, do the following: ====

  - Select all line items by checking off the All Line Items checkbox. The Line Items In Page checkbox will be checked off automatically.{{ :acq_angular_select_all_line_items.png?direct |Select All Line Items}}
  - Click on the PO **Actions** menu and select Delete Selected Line Items.
  - A confirmation dialog box will appear listing the IDs of the selected line items.{{ ::acq_angular_confirm_line_item_deletion.png?direct |Confirm Deletion of Line Items Dialog}}
  - Click **Apply** to continue or Exit Dialog to abort the process.
  - The line items will disappear.
  - Click on the blue link next to PO Name.{{ ::acq_angular_purchase_order_name_link.png?direct |PO Name Link}}
  - In the box that appears **add a space and the word “delete” after after the name**. The “name” could be the PO ID or a name you entered previously.{{ ::acq_angular_purchase_order_rename_delete.png?direct |PO Name Delete}}
  - The purchase order will be deleted overnight.
