Note: This form should only be used for books. To add records for other formats, use the temp records templates in Cataloging to add the record to the catalog. Then use View/Place Orders to add a line item to a PO.
From within an existing purchase order
- Click on the PO Actions menu drop down and choose Add Brief Record.
- The Brief Record Form will appear. Notice that the purchase order number is already filled in at the top so you do not have to choose it.
- Fill in the appropriate fields in the form.
- Click Save.
The line item will be added to your purchase order.
From within a newly created purchase order
- Create a new purchase order by going to the Acquisition menu and choosing Create Purchase Order
- Select your ordering agency from the drop down and your provider by typing in the first letter and selecting.
- Click Save.
- Click on the Add Brief Record button.
- The Brief Record Form will appear (as above). Notice that the purchase order number is already filled in at the top so you do not have to choose it.
- Fill in the appropriate fields in the form.
- Click Save.
The line item will be added to your purchase order.
