The Shelving Locations Editor allows you to create new shelving locations and edit existing shelving locations.
Select Admin → Local Administration → Shelving Locations Editor.
To create a new shelving location, type in the name, and select Yes or No for the various attributes: OPAC Visible, Holdable, Circulate, and Hold Verify. Holdable means a patron is able to place a hold on an item in this location; Hold Verify means staff will be prompted before an item is captured for a hold. Finally click Create.
In this screenshot you will see that shelving locations for Adult Fiction, Adult Nonfiction, and Picture Books have been created.
Existing shelving locations may be edited or deleted. In this example Picture Books is selected for editing. It is important to note that locations containing items may not be deleted.
