Adding Users
One or more instructors may be associated with a course.
Note: students may also be added to courses.
To add users (e.g. instructors) to a course:
- Select the “Course users” tab from the course page
- If you have the user's barcode, scan / enter it in the search box
- If you do not have the user's barcode, click “Search for Patron”; this option takes you to the normal patron search interface
- Enter some identifying information for the user
- Click “Search”
- Check the box for the correct user
- Click “Select”
- Select the appropriate user role from the dropdown menu. There are three pre-defined roles: instructor, teaching assistant, and student. These roles display when you start typing.
Note: Only the “Instructor” and “Teaching Assistant” roles will display in the public catalog; student names NEVER appear in the public catalog.
- Click “Add User” to save
